39 South Main
Group Seating Capacity: 85 cocktail/65 Seated
The variety of dishes and the outstanding quality of each one is something special. From appetizers to salads to entrees, desserts and wine - everything is to be savored. The "flight" concept brings you three choices of menu items at once. So a flight of wines costing about $15 lets you enjoy three small glasses of different wines, each of which might sell for $65 per bottle. The desserts alone are worth a trip. It's a great place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, job promotion or other personal milestone. The two-story building is finely furnished and decorated, yet the staff is friendly in a warm, casual way, and go above and beyond to make your experience special. Two managers were at the front door asking, literally surveying us, for our comments and opinions about our night there. It is an easy walk on the Pedestrian Mall (Main St.) from the Orpheum theater on the night of a play. A view of the Mississippi River at sunset is just a block away. There is also a sidewalk cafe area if the weather is suitable. Flight is a jewel for Memphis offering an exquisite dining experience.
